Aquaforest was established in 1995. Initially we manufactured substrates and aquatic plants fertilizers for zoos, Aquariums and professional plant farms.
A couple of years after the launch we started our own aquatic plants, fish and corals farms. As our cultures grew, we realized that to expand further we needed our own sea salt, foods and supplements, as no supplier could match our requirements for the high quality products.
And so our quest to create top-notch products for marine aquariums began. We started to invest heavily in research to create our own unique products. Our results were so good and the products that we created worked so well, that we decided we could no longer keep them to ourselves. We began to market them.
At the beginning of 2011 we started the production of AQUAFOREST ™ products for retail customers. The entire range soon gained significant attention from shops and marine aquarists.

The founders of Aquaforest share the passion for beautiful corals and aquariums and we want to share this passion with our customers. We know the ins and outs of marine aquariums, as we breed many interesting marine species and have our own coral farms. We want to provide the knowledge and the best quality products to all aquarists – beginners and advanced hobbyists – so they can create and enjoy their beautiful reef aquariums.

What makes our products special?
After years of research and tests we came up with the most efficient product formulas and we developed a unique Aquaforest Probiotic Method. As a result we are one of few who can offer products that allow harvesting even the most demanding coral species. What’s more, all our products are manufactured in the EU from carefully selected components and under strict laboratory supervision, so we meet the highest possible standards.

Probiotic Reef Salt Contains vitamins and amino acids.

Fully synthetic marine salt created for coral cultures, especially SPS. Its formula is designed to
create the best conditions for marine animals. The micronutrients and macronutrients contained in the formula fully fulfill the demand of corals for proper growth and pigmentation. Probiotic bacteria contained in the salt reduce the content of nitrates and phosphates, and prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the marine aquarium .

After dissolving the salt, freshly prepared marine water can be used immediately. When setting up new aquariums it is recommended that the first animals are placed no sooner than 10-14 days after filling the aquarium.
Instructions for use: Dissolve the salt in previously prepared demineralized water. Water temperature should be about 24`C (75`F). For salinity of 1.025 S.G. dissolve 3.95kg (8.71lbs) of salt in 100 liters (27 US gal.) of water. Stir the solution vigorously for about 15 minutes. When the salt is fully dissolved and the solution clear, the marine water is ready to use.
